I graduated in 2002 from TAMIU with a Bilingual teaching degree. I have worked for UISD for 12 years. I have taught all grade levels at the elementary level. Fifth grade, 1st grade and 2nd grade have been the grade levels I have most experience on. I currently teach 2nd grade.
I was an LISD elementary school teacher for 8 years with all my experience in 5th grade. At LISD, I was trained and received certification to be a teacher mentor.
I have been very happily married for 32 years. My husband and I were high school sweethearts. I have 3 children, a 25-year-old son, an 18-year-old son, and a 16-year-old daughter. All of my children are UISD educated. My oldest son is a graduate of TAMIU and is currently working on his master's degree. He will be graduating in May and his plan is to continue to law school in Dallas. My 18-year-old son is currently enrolled in the nursing program at LC and he plans to transfer to TAMIU to finish his bachelor's degree. My daughter is a junior at United High School.
My family and I love to go camping. Most of our 3 or 4 day weekends are spent camping, hiking, or riding our bicycles.
